How to improve the map performance

Loading map data in virtualized environments can be time consuming. 

Especially if you want to display a bigger map window. 

Answer

• Reduce the map size, so less data needs to loaded.

• use map settings 
  - Use animation = false
  If this option is enabled, then animated effects are used for the composition of the map but more data will be loaded. So disable it, if map animation is not necessary. 
  
  - Use "optimized for VDI" = true
  Note: When using PTV Route Optimiser in a remote session, e.g. Citrix or Terminalserver, 
  this may have unwanted effects. In this case, disable the option
