Symptom
Unable to import a file within the interface
Causes
There are several reasons a import file can not import within the interface
- Import header written incorrectly
- An incorrect delimiter selected in the interface
- Invalid "OrderType" value specified within the import file
- Product quantities contain invalid decimal values
- Time windows overlap
- Orders can not be located
Resolution
-
Ensure that the import headers are written correctly according to the required format.
For more information on valid headers, click help within the interface
- Ensure that the delimiter selected in the interface matches the delimiter used in the import file.
3. Ensure the correct OrderType value is specified in your import file:
- C = Collection
- D = Delivery
- B = Delivery and Collection (for Tramped Pairs)
When using Tramped Pairs, use B in the OrderType field.
4. Decimal are not supported during the import process.
To work around this:
-
Multiply the quantity to remove any decimal places.
2. Within Parameters, enable the option to display decimal values
3. Within Product Parameters, configure the conversion factor to divide the quantity back to its intended value. Save the changes and re-import the orders
5. Ensure your time window in your import file do not overlap.
If two time windows are defined then CLOSE1 time should not be later than the OPEN2 time.
Example of an overlapping time window:
| Open1 | Close1 | Open2 | Close2 |
| 0800 | 1300 | 1200 | 1700 |
6. Ensure that the confidence level is set to a reasonably high value. This improves address-matching accuracy and reduces the likelihood of orders not being located during the import process.
