It can happen that 2 addresses won’t get the same results (and consequently not the same location ID) because there is a small difference in the input data.

When we geocode addresses we’re dependent on external services and it is there that a different result is found for these addresses. What looks like a small difference in the same address, is being interpreted differently by a machine.

It is important to keep the address as correct as possible in the input data.
