This How-To explains the Difference between Standard Routecalculation and Dynamic Routecalculation in Map&Guide - The next Generation.

When calculating a route, the standardized route planning values are used as standard.

If further parameters such as time windows, driving and rest times, traffic information, etc. are to be taken into account, this can be done with the dynamic route calculation.

You can switch from Standard to Dynamic by clicking on Dynamic.

You can also select your own vehicle profiles for the dynamic calculation, whereas the calculation in standard mode can only be carried out using the default vehicle profiles.

The following additional parameters can be taken into account in the dynamic route calculation:

  • Start time
  • Service times
  • Traffic information
  • Driving and rest times
  • Loading and unloading
  • Commentary
  • Costs per stopover

Additional calculation options such as the 2024 Olympic Games and cost-optimized routing (beta) can also be taken into account with the dynamic route calculation.

To do this, click on the routing settings and switch to the Calculation tab.
